3015 & 3025: All-In-One Modulators
|
WHOLE-HOUSE VIDEO DISTRIBUTION
The 3000 Series Whole-House Video Distribution Systems are easy to install and operate. The 3015 is a dual input system that accepts a CATV or antenna input, audio/video signals from one video source and modulates it to a user selected channel that can be seen at four TV locations. Models 3025 and 3025XA are triple input systems that accept a CATV or antenna input, audio/video signals from two sources and modulates them to user selected channels that can be seen at up to five TV locations. The 3025XA requires external amplification with either a DA-520A bi-directional amplifier when a bi-directional cable box is in use, or with a DA-500A amplifier when an external antenna is used in an area where signal strengths vary and high headroom is needed.
|
2501: Blocking Capacitor
The model 2501 is used in systems where DC and/or infrared control pulses are present on the coaxial cable. When such signals are not wanted or might be shorted out by downstream video products, a model 2501 blocking cap can be inserted in an individual coaxial cable feed. The capacitor serves like an open circuit to DC and low frequency IR control signals, yet passes all
RF signals on.
Example: Using a 12-volt IR system and not using 2100A wall plates at all coax drops, insert a model 2501 on the end of the coax.

2512/2514/2532/2532/2538: Splitters & Combiners
The ChannelPlus bi-directional 2-way, 4-way and 8-way splitter/combiners provide a 1 GHz bandwidth and are ideal for antenna and coaxial cable operations. The splitter/combiner is one product that can be used for two applications. It can be used to split a signal from a source or combine signals from multiple sources onto one coax run. Use DC passing splitter when using IR on the coax. The 2512 and 2514 are DC passing.

LPF-380/ LPF-470/ LPF-600/ LPF-750:
Low Pass Filters
A ChannelPlus low pass filter is used on systems when broadband entertainment feed is supplied by a CATV service. The filter removes all CATV channels above the pass band, allowing insertion of locally-generated ChannelPlus modulated channels. In addition, the filter removes cable system noise which degrades the picture quality of the locally-generated channels.
|
TC-200: Tilt Compensator
Coaxial cable attenuates high frequencies more than low frequencies. This problem is most severe when cascading amplifiers one after another. The signal differences are amplified to a point where the higher frequency signals are so small compared to the low frequency signals that they can no longer be received. The model TC-200 creates an attenuation loss equal and opposite to cable loss.
The TC-200 also provides a balanced signal level by compensating for 200ft of cable loss for the high frequency attenuation and allowing all signal levels on all channels to be of equal amplitude at distant locations. Therefore, the picture quality on higher channels will be maintained.

2010 & 2100A: Wall Plates
SYSTEM COMPONENTS
The 2100 series is available in numerous models and configurations. Users can select from infrared interfaces, targets, emitters, and expansion blocks.
The infrared interface wall plate, model 2100A, is used with the 12volt DA-550 distribution panels to allow IR control from any room on the system. The 2100A is bi-directional and can input as well as output IR information. The 2100A will accept any 12 volt target using the input jack or three wire screw terminal. Hint: when using a 12 volt IR system and 2100A's are not at all locations a DC block, model 2105, must be used on the coax.
The 2010 interface wall plate has two functions. First it will remotely power the DA-550 and DA-8200 series panels from up to 75' away. Second when using a modulator with IR output the 2010 will break out the IR signals from a 2100A present on the coax and pass them to connected emitters.

2130A/ 2131/ 2132/ 2133: IR Remote Targets
INFRARED VIA COAX CABLE
Control any video or audio product (VCR, satellite receiver, DVD, etc.) from any location in the house. Regardless of where the product is located, the user simply aims an infrared remote control at the target and presses a button. The infrared codes emitted from the remote control are transmitted through the home's coaxial cable and instantly repeated by each infrared repeater/emitter connected to the system. Infrared codes sent via the coax are far more reliable and free of interference than infrared transmitted through the air. There is no need for any additional wires! In order to use the 2100 series 12-volt and 5 volt components, it is necessary that a DA-550 (12volt) or DA-8200 (5volt) series coaxial cable panel be used in the system. It provides power to all of the system IR components and ensures that the signals are passed from targets to emitters.
12 VOLT SYSTEMS

|
2171/ 2172/ 2173: IR Repeaters/Emitters
INFRARED EMITTERS
IR emitters are both 5 and 12 volt compatible. Use the IR emitters over the IR sensors on video products like VCRs, DVDs and music systems to control their functions with IR commands. The Emitters are used with other 2100 series products for whole-house IR control.

2181: IR Coaxial Cable Panel Expansion Link
EXPAND IR SIGNALS
Use the model 2181 IR expander to send IR control signals from one DA-550 or DA-8200 to another DA-550 or DA-8200. Using a master DA-550 or DA-8200 and adding up to eight slave units, IR control signals will not be passed from master units to the slave units unless a model 2181 is used at each slave
DA-550 or DA-8200 panel. The 2181 allows each TV with a target that is connected to the slave unit, to send IR signals back to the audio/video devices connected to the master DA-550 or DA-8200.
The 2181 can also be used to send IR signals to modulators connected to the "A" input on a DA-550 or DA-8200 panel. IR normally passes only through the "B" input but using the 2181 in reverse position and connecting the green hot wire to the DA panel the 5500 or SVM series modulator will receive all IR signals.
|
2174 & 2184: IR Expansion
IR accessories make complex installations simple. The 2174 expansion takes the output of a single emitter jack and extends it into 4 emitter jacks.
The 2184 coax panel expansion jack allows local IR access on a DA-550 or DA-8200 series panel. IR information is available at the panel on the three pin power connector. Clip on a the 2184 and up to 4 single head emitters may be connected directly to the 2184.
