The federal government is requiring ‘local’ broadcast television stations (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, the CW and MyNetworkTV) to turn off their analog channels and broadcast exclusively in the clearer, better digital television (DTV) format starting at midnight February 17, 2009.
